Welcome to the Northern Ireland Institute of Agricultural Science (NIIAS). We are a two hundred and seventy strong body, set up to represent the professional interests of agriculture and food science graduates working in Northern Ireland. Our membership is drawn from the public and private sector with many aspects of Northern Ireland’s important agri food industry represented. Each year we organise a series of events for members throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring months. These are planned to reflect the latest thinking and issues that impact on the agri-food sector both locally and internationally
Particular highlights are our networking breakfast at the RUAS Winter Fair in December and the Annual Conference, which takes place in February. As well as providing unique opportunities for members to expand their professional knowledge base, each of our events represent a unique networking occasion and the opportunity to enhance relationships with our agri-food colleagues.
These are challenging but exciting times for the agri-food sector. Given the growing pressure on the world's food resources, the challenge facing agriculture and food graduates has never been greater and it is in this context that the work of the NIIAS will be focused during the period ahead.
Membership is open to all agriculture and food graduates working in Northern Ireland who are studying for a higher diploma or higher qualification. If you would like to become a member, simply click here. NIIAS membership currently costs £20 per year.
